“You need to know where I stand on Idaho’s issues and our Nation’s issues. You need to know what kind of man I am, what I believe in. And I need to know what your concerns are. Above all, please believe that your opinions, your thoughts are important, and that you vote is important. Believe in your self, believe in your God, and you can make your vision reality.”

I am thrilled that you are running for a seat in the Senate, Dick. Both Scott and April told me in their ‘thank you’ note about your decision. I support your effort even though I am now in North Carolina. I also am a conservative Republican and have been so all my voting years.

I want illegal aliens out of the US and no more added
..They have closed 16 hospitals in L.A. area and committed many crimes

I want a Congress that ACTS and is not as concerned about ‘reaching across the aisle’ - that translates into NEW BLOOD

I want accountable spending - part of the recent past has been because of the war, however
…Silly, whimfulstudies that go nowhere (like saving a type of ant) should be made when we are more solvent

I am disgusted that the lobbyists get all the attention from our Senators and that constiuents are ignored - the ones that voted for the Senators

I think that the ACLU as far too much power and say-so

I think the press predominently is on the liberal extreme

I don’t think Hollywood should be a factor in our elections

Too many Senators say one thing and do another

I know you will do your ethical best if you are elected to serve

May hat is off to you….your son-in-law’s mother and believing, practicing Christian,

    Dick:
Very impressive. All in all AMERICA needs a man of your character and leadership ability. It seems to me that our Constitution is hanging by the proverbial thread. The present group of Presidential Candidates on both sides of the aisle left standing are closer to Karl Marx than George Washington in both temperament and philosophy. I repeat there are no Ronald Reagan’s in the bunch.

I’m proud to have you as a lifelong friend. I’m hopeful that I’ll be toasting your win in the fall.

    Best regards,
    Harry Haisfield

    Brother Beta,
I am disapointed but not surprised by Mr. Phenneger calling Winston Churchill one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century.

Here’s a history lesson they don’t teach you in school. By the end of the First World War, Britian was greatly weakened, and they were considering how they were going to continue to run Asia, now that they didn’t have the military force to actully occupy it.

The suggestion was to use air power to attack civilians. Churchill thought this didn’t go far enough. He was in favor of using poison gas “against recalcitrant Arabs.” Not really Arabs, they were talking about Kurds and Afghans, but by racist standards, anybody you want to kill is an Arab.

At the time, poison gas was the ultimate atrocity. It was the worst thing you could imagine. Let my quote your hero Churchill on this subject:

“I do not understand this squemishness about the use of gas…I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against incivilised tribes.”

There were many great leaders in the 20th century, such as Mandela, Ghandi, King, Chomsky, ect. who stood up for the victims of atrocities committed by people like Churchill. Wouldn’t these be better people to admire?

Yours in —kai–, Lee M. Spencer

Richard: After visiting with you tonight, I am very thankful to learn of you beliefs that “We the people .. ” is still believed in by an American seeking a federal office these days. Ethics is a scarce commodity these days, and you, Sir, are no FDR, thank God! It is no credit to a leader to say one thing and do something else, unless of course it involves keeping your country free from tyrants and terrorists, contrary to what some narrow-minded may say. May the road rise up to meet you, your way be made straight and ” you be in Heaven an hour before the devil knows your dead. ” Go gettem, tiger!
